The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) updates the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) on a biannual basis. The STIP is Ohio’s four-year transportation planning document which presents the fiscally balanced, multi-modal transportation program for the State of Ohio. Included are projects both federal and state funded scheduled for some phase of implementation during the four year period. ODOT is currently updating the STIP for State Fiscal Years (SFY) 2018-2021. OMEGA was designated as the Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), and we are developing a Regional Transportation Improvement Plan (RTIP) for Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Muskingum, and Tuscarawas Counties which will be directly included in the STIP.
The first draft of the RTIP has been completed and the next step in the development process is to conduct public involvement. Three public meetings will take place in the region to provide an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the draft document. Project information pertinent to the meeting area will be presented at each meeting and the public is encouraged to attend and offer comments, suggestions, or other input.
